Quick + Tasty Oatmeal
This quick + tasty oatmeal recipe is a great way to start your day!
I do mine on the stovetop since I have never successfully made it in the microwave. My partner can do his in the microwave, and I'm not sure what kind of voodoo that is!
I make mine with 2% milk, but whole milk works just as well! Toppers that add a bit of zing are blueberries, strawberries, pomegranate arils (especially frozen ones – they cool the oatmeal a bit!) and brown sugar.
- small pot
- 1 cup Milk (I use 2% but whole milk works as well!)
- 1/2 cup Whole oats
- 1 Tbsp cinnamon
Add the milk, oats and cinnamon together in a medium pot on the stove.
Heat on medium-high and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Once at a rolling boil, turn heat down to medium and stir until the oatmeal is the consistency you prefer. Mine is usually 3-5 minutes.
