Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 3 Tablespoons flour

  • 1/4 teaspoons salt

  • 2 cups hot water

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 2 Tablespoons butter or margarine

Directions

  • Add brown sugar, flour and salt to saucepan.
  • Over high heat, gradually stir in 2 cups hot water.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce to medium heat and cook until thick. Stirring constantly to prevent burning.
  • Once thick, remove from heat and add vanilla and butter/margarine.
  • Serve.
