According to a study in the journal “Nature”
Scientific Reports last week, researchers in Sweden compared the long-term stress hormone levels between 58 dogs, a mix of shetland sheepdogs and border collies, and their female owners. ~ via People.com
By measuring levels of cortisol in the hair of both the female owners and their pups, they found that increases and decreases in cortisol correlated between owner and dog.
I’m sure this is evident to any dog owner, and appears to back up what Cesar Millan himself always says about a loose leash when walking because dogs can pick up tension right through the leash and how tightly you grip it.
